Man, we're getting the band back together. We're on a mission from God.

This could be your mantra every weekend. Heck, it could be your mantra every night, lifted straight from Blues Brothers into your life. And who doesn't have that dream.

Rock Band allows you to form a band (complete with vocals, guitar, bass, and drums) and make sweet sweet music together, rhythm-game style. Don't play well with others? You can always play by solo, and become a master of all instruments. Online play even makes it so you can be in a rad band, but not that close with your smelly bandmates. Lots of downloadable content means theres new music out there to enjoy.

So it no longer has to be a long time since you rock and rolled, nor does it have to be lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely, lonely. Or it can be. It's up to you, Rock Star.

Reviews

[ 7 ] GameDaily Reviews says "Walmart's exclusive AC/DC Live: Rock Band Track Pack offers 18 songs that you can drum, strum and sing along to, including such favorites as "Back In Black" and "Thunderstruck." You can also import these songs into your Rock Band 2 song list. Unfortunately, you'll finish solo tour mode within a couple of hours, there's no online multiplayer and the original master tracks aren't available. That makes it tough to justify spending $40 on the game. If you're an AC/DC fan though, buy this immediately. Otherwise, take caution before proceeding down the Highway To Hell."

[ 6.5 ] Gamespot says "Rock groups don't get much bigger than AC/DC. The Australian hard-rock act has churned out 17 studio albums over 30 years, including one of the highest-selling albums of all time, Back in Black. With that kind of success, it's a no-brainer that Harmonix signed the Thunder From Down Under for an exclusive game all to themselves, following the inclusion of "Let There Be Rock" in Rock Band 2. However, though the songs on AC/DC Live sound and feel amazing to play, with only 18 songs (the setlist from the band's famous Live at Donington DVD), no special features, and fewer modes than either Rock Band or Rock Band 2, this game feels very much like a dirty deed done dirt cheap. "

[ B ] Gaming Age says "While it is true that there are many, many songs available to download through the music store on Rock Band and Rock Band 2, it makes me scratch my head when track packs on disc make their way onto the Xbox 360/PS3. The first of two that arrived on my desk this past week was one for AC/DC. I first must mention that you do NOT have to own either Rock Band title to play this game, but of course you do need a guitar, mic, or drums to rock with the bad boys of British rock. Of course if you do own the game and have not yet downloaded the tracks available on this disc, there is a code provided to allow you to add these songs to your ever growing play list. "

[ 6.5 ] IGN Xbox 360 says "AC/DC is a perfect first for Rock Band. The legendary band's "Let There Be Rock" on Rock Band 2 was just a teaser. The real deal comes in the form of 18 live tracks available exclusively from Wal-Mart in the form of a "full" game. AC/DC Live: Rock Band Track Pack is a retail game that can be played independently of owning Rock Band 1 or 2. Included in the box, however, is a unique code so that you can download the tracks via Xbox Live for use with either Rock Band game."
