[ A ] 1UP says "The best thing I can say about this version of Peggle is that, despite having played through both PC versions, the basic experience is still addictive. The premise may be simple, but I found myself replaying levels over and over again to see how high I could get my score. Throw in the challenge mode (with objectives like getting a certain score with limited shots), and my OCD nature found a state of Zen. It may be a bit on the pricey side for some (almost $30), but for a game that has at least 20 hours of content it?s absolutely worth it."[ 9 ] GameDaily Reviews says "Easily the most time-sucking game since Tetris, the part-Pachinko, part pinball game from PopCap has been gathering devotees since its original release on the PC in 2007. Shortly after, the puzzle game hit the iPod and now it has arrived on the Nintendo DS."
[ buy it ] Crispy Gamer says "You'd think that the recent Nintendo DS port, called Peggle: Dual Shot, would be an absolute slam-dunk winner of a game. But while the port is a winner, it's one that doesn't get through without some significant problems. Rather than a slam dunk, it's more like a layup that bounces off the rim a few times before finally sinking in. The result is the same, but the effect is diminished by the execution. "
[ 8.6 ] IGN Nintendo DS says "PopCap is a master of the casual game, but there's nothing casual about most gamers' obsession with Peggle. Once you get a taste of Extreme Fever you'll be fiending for your next fix of "Ode to Joy." Peggle is one of the most addictive games of the last few years. If you've avoided it so far on PC and iPod, this is a great package to get started with. Peggle DS includes the original game, the Peggle Nights expansion, and original levels developed by Q Entertainment (Lumines, Meteos). "
